Re-4m: The Power of Forgiveness
The Power or Forgiveness: Healing hearts and relationships.
The second in our series of Re-4m seminars is "The Power of Forgiveness". This seminar will focus on the power of forgiving to restore relationships and heal the soul from past wounds. Fr. Matt Mirabile will open the sessions with a biblical survey on the theme of forgiveness and right relationships. Our guest speakers will each teach a session and Fr. Mirabile will close the sessions. Afterwards there will be an opportunity for
all participants to receive prayer for any concerns or issues raised during the seminar.
Our special guest speakers will be Dn. Marios Tsangarides who will share in part from personal experience on reconciliation, and his wife Dr. Elaine Tsangarides. Marios has been a physicist at General Motors for many years and is currently a deacon in the Charismatic Episcopal Church. Elaine is one of the founding partners of Belsay Christian Counseling Center which opened its doors in 1992. Dr. Tsangarides holds advanced degrees in education and in counseling, a doctorate in Christian counseling psychology and to further enhance her knowledge base, all but the dissertation in a clinical psychology program. She is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Michigan. She is also on the referral list for Focus on the Family.
The seminar will take place on Saturday, March 31 beginning at 9:00am. Thee sessions will run approximately 40 minutes, after which there will be a break. Lunch will be served, after which the final session and ministry time will finish at 2:00pm.
This is a great opportunity for all parishioners and other participants to receive healing for past wounds, learn how to set relationships right, and learn to forgive. We look forward to this Re-4m seminar and feel that this topic is a great way to close Lent and prepare for Holy Week and the great feast of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday.
Re-4m Prayer Seminar
Renewing Prayer Seminar
Our first Re-4m seminar will be on prayer. Prayer is a topic that has been covered in countless books by every corner of the Christian faith. Still, many people struggle with praying. This seminar will explore some of the fundamentals of prayer so that the believer can pray more effectively. Topics to be covered will be "Praying with the Church", the "Lectio Divina" - reading the scriptures prayerfully, Intercession, Keys to effective prayer, etc. The material in this seminar will enlarge the experience of anyone who prays and will help those who seem to struggle with praying. There is something here for everyone.
Details:
Held at the Anglican Church of the Resurrection
Saturday, January 28th from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Lunch will be served. There is no fee for the seminar but donations for food are appreciated.
